Space Limitation Presents a Challenge

Customer Issues

  • This home is on a magnificent and beautiful lot on the edge of a park and conveniently located
  • The homeowners have decided to stay in their home and invest in remodeling
  • The house was built in the 1950s and has several renovations made to it including a second-floor addition completed by Bel Air Construction
  • The homeowners wanted to replace the existing deck with one built with maintenance-free materials and better served the area.
  • The pool’s proximity to the house presented some design challenges

Bel Air Construction Solutions

  • Rising to the challenge of the close quarters, the Bel Air Construction design team developed a design that took full advantage of the limited space
  • The deck runs nearly the length of the home and has multiple access points from the home
  • Covered and uncovered portions make it very versatile
  • The covered area is screened providing a bug-free respite from the sun
  • A “T-arrangement” staircase allows access to both the pool and the backyard
  • Maintenance-free materials are used throughout the project
  • Adjacent to the covered deck area is a year-round sunroom featuring the traditional Southern blue ceiling to ward of the unwanted and bring good luck
