Customer Issues

The original owners of the 1970s era ranch home wanted to enhance the front entrance of their home by adding a covered porch and replacing the aging terraced timber and concrete sidewalk.

Bel Air Construction Solutions

The new 150 square foot covered porch replaces a small 55 square foot concrete slab. It is constructed of concrete masonry block with a poured concrete slab. The concrete slab is overlaid with earthtone Cambridge paving stone while the concrete block is faced with complementary Cambridge veneer stone.

The custom designed and built gabled roof is carefully blended into the existing roof and creates a distinguishing and impressive entrance to the home. State-of-the-art construction materials including a vinyl railing with bronze balusters are used for ease of maintenance.

Leading to the revitalized new entrance is a terraced walk constructed of earthtone Cambridge retaining wall stones. The wall stones are capped for a finished appearance. The same wall stone caps are used for the stairs while the risers are faced with stone veneer. With a nod to safety the vinyl railing with bronze balusters runs the length of the terraced walk and an additional safety feature is low voltage lighting integrated into the stair risers.
