- The homeowners had recently purchased the home and wanted to make it their own
- They had hired a pool company and as they reviewed the design for the pool and associated hardscaping, they recognized that the existing, small screened-in porch and deck was not going to be complementary with the pool concept
- They wanted to develop an outdoor living space designed for entertaining large crowds
Bel Air Construction Solutions
- Working within the footprint of the former screened-in porch and the existing deck, the Bel Air Construction design team reimagined an expansive enclosed outdoor entertainment space with a full outdoor kitchen and multiple seating areas
- The concept involved preserving and upgrading the existing screened-in porch and expanding the screened-in area to include what had been an open deck
- The open feel of the room is accomplished by using an engineered beam to carry the roof load and eliminates the need for posts that would break up the space
- Since the homeowner wished to keep the cathedral ceiling in the existing screened in porch, 3D modeling was effectively used to illustrate how two different roof styles could be harmoniously integrated while not interfering with existing windows in the home
- Durable, low-maintenance Azek Vintage Collection – Mahogany composite decking replaced the pressure treated decking that was previously used and ties the large space together
- A pre-finished Synergy Southern Pine – Bordeaux wood ceiling visually unifies the space, complements the decking and provides a contrast to the white vinyl and stainless steel used in the space
- The floor-to-ceiling screening and low maintenance vinyl rails with black balusters allow for a near unobstructed view
- The outdoor kitchen includes an exterior commercial grill and vent, sink with commercial faucet and a refrigerator
- Outdoor stainless-steel cabinetry is topped by honed finished Fantasy Brown stone counter tops
