Master bath gets a design update

Customer Issues

In a rightsizing move, the homeowners had recently moved into an existing home in a very desirable location. Although much about the home was up to their standards, the master bath was not.  It was dated and the style did not meet with the homeowner’s design sense.

Bel Air Construction Solutions

The Bel Air Construction team recommended a complete renovation of the space.

The major elements of the renovation include:

  • A 60″ free standing acrylic soaking tub from Wyndham Collection paired with a Moen Voss free sanding floor mount tub filler and hand shower in a brushed gold finish.
  • Accommodating the homeowner’s desire to not have a glass enclosed shower, a doorless, easy entry curb less shower stall was created using half-walls. The shower features a Moen shower system that includes 2 overhead shower heads, a hand-held head and 4 body spray heads. All the heads and controls are finished in brushed gold.
  • A painted Custom Wood Products 70″ double vanity. The quartz countertop is LG Halusys Everest and exhibits various shades of white, gray, and black marbling to complement the color of the vanity. Faucets are Moen Voss in a brushed gold finish.
  • A unique collection of tile finishes for walls and floor.
    • The lower half of the walls are finished with 12×24, Novabell Thermae Milk porcelain tile. The top half is 1×3 Calacutta Gold marble tile in a herringbone pattern. Separating the two halves is a pencil tile of Calcutta Gold.
    • Bath and shower floor tile is 2″ hexagon Novabell Thermae Milk porcelain tile.
  • All tile is installed over Schluter substrates, an integrated family of products in which the individual components collectively form a bonded, watertight assembly which eliminates the risk of failures due to water and vapor penetration.
  • The use of high-performance grout with built-in antimicrobial product protection fights the growth of mold and mildew on grout surface.
